I want you to have an instrument that when you pick it up, it's hard to put down because you keep finding new ways to express yourself with. You do not need a $1200 guitar to enjoy a good playing experience. I had a local musician playing an EpiphoneLP  guitar that I use to test pickups. I had loaded it with a Star Dust neck and a Half Nelson. He just kept playing these amazing tones and saying "This is an Epiphone?"

Good pickups can save your guitar. They can make you a more inspired musician. Inspired musicians play more and get better faster. Then, if you want to, you can afford to buy that $1200 guitar, just don't forget the pickups!
